The Route

The Tourist and Gastronomic Route of the Cheeses of the Centre of Portugal is a sustainable and identity tourism offer, having as anchor product the Cheese Serra da Estrela DOP, Cheese Beira Baixa DOP and Cheese Rabaçal DOP.

Thus, thisTourist and Gastronomic Route is an opportunity for all those who seek to enjoy days of rest in contact with nature and the countryside, who seek distinctive experiences strongly rooted in the cultures of their territories and who favour proposals that meet the history, traditions, customs and gastronomy more identity of the territories.

With a total of 43 members, this Tourist and Gastronomic Route proposes more than 50 experiences linked to the PDO Cheese Sector, also suggesting 9 routes through the three PDO regions of the Centre of Portugal.

You will find in this Route excellent suggestions to enjoy good times with family, friends, as a couple and even alone.
