Serra da Estrela cheese production workshop.
With more than eight centuries of history, Serra da Estrela cheese is an unavoidable landmark in Portuguese gastronomy, whose production remains traditional.
In this experience, at the Casa da Ínsua Cheese Factory, you will have the opportunity to know the history of the cheeses and their production.
You will also have the opportunity to visit the sheepfold and the thistle field next to the cheese factory.

Start time between 09h30 and 10h00, depending on the evolution of the sheep's milk curd.
At 11.00 am, the practical activity of the workshop is finished and the visit continues in the three chambers of conservation and maturation of the cheese.
